The casino

Resorts World runs one of the largest casino floors in the Midlands — a bright, modern room with electronic roulette, a spread of table games, a poker offering and a big bank of slots, all under the same roof as the hotel.

It sits inside a sprawling leisure complex beside the NEC, so the gaming shares the building with a cinema, an outlet mall and restaurants — busy and lively without feeling cramped, and open late.

The rooms

The on-site Genting Hotel holds around 180 contemporary rooms and suites, a four-star stay just a lift-ride and a short indoor walk from the gaming floor.

Rooms are quiet and well-kept given how close they sit to the action, and a spa and pool make it a genuine place to unwind rather than just a bed above a casino.

Dining & extras

The complex packs in a strip of restaurants and bars, a cinema and a designer outlet mall, with the NEC's concerts and events next door.

You can arrive, park once and fill an evening — dinner, a film, a show and a few hours at the tables — without stepping outside.

Location & value

Resorts World sits beside the NEC and Birmingham Airport, right on the rail line, so it is unusually easy to reach from across the Midlands and beyond.

It is the one true casino-hotel in this guide, and for a stay-and-play weekend near Birmingham it is the obvious base — solid value for a four-star with gaming, shops and shows attached.
